International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination

International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination is a significant day aimed at raising awareness about racial discrimination issues and promoting global racial equality and inclusivity. Established by the United Nations in 1966, it falls on March 21st each year, commemorating the events of Sharpeville, South Africa in 1960 when police shot and killed 69 people who were protesting against apartheid policies on the same date. International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination encourages people to work together through various activities and initiatives such as conferences, lectures, cultural performances, and community events to eliminate racial discrimination and foster respect and understanding for multiculturalism.

The world with different colors of people is like the colorful rainbow under the blue sky, and different skin colors have the same love.
